This notice covers business outreach email sent from wpcontentwriterpro.com. It is separate from the privacy policy that covers this website and customer accounts.

Why you received an email

We contacted you at a business address, about WP Content Writer Pro, because your details appeared in a publicly accessible source and the product looked relevant to your work.

It was sent by a person, to you specifically. If it did not read that way, that is a fair complaint and we would like to hear it — the contact details are at the bottom of this page.

Where we got your address

You did not give us this address, so you are entitled to know where it came from. We take addresses only from sources that were publicly accessible at the time we looked:

• a business’s own website — its contact, about, imprint or team page
• public business directories and professional listings

We do not buy or rent contact lists, and we do not guess addresses or build them from a pattern such as first.last@company. If you would like to know the specific source for your address, ask and we will tell you.

Our lawful basis

We rely on legitimate interest. The interest is our own: telling businesses that publish about WordPress, hosting or content work that a product exists which is likely to be useful to them, so that we can sell it.

We have weighed that against your interests, which is what relying on it requires. It is why we write to business addresses rather than personal ones, why every message says who sent it and how to stop it, and why one click is enough to stop it for good. If the balance still comes out differently for you, your objection ends it — see below.

What we hold

For an address we have contacted, our outreach records store:

• the email address itself, and a name or company where one was published alongside it
• the source the address came from
• the date each message was sent, and which of our mailboxes sent it
• whether the address has unsubscribed

It is not sold, rented, or shared with anyone for their own use, and it is never used for advertising. Where a service provider handles it on our behalf — the mail service that delivers a message, for instance — it acts on our instructions only and may not use the data for anything of its own.

Stopping the emails

Every message we send carries an unsubscribe link that works in one click, with no login and no confirmation step. You can also use the unsubscribe button your mail client shows in the message header, which we support through the standard List-Unsubscribe mechanism, or simply reply with the word unsubscribe.

Any of those adds your address to a permanent suppression list. Once an address is on it, our system refuses to queue mail to it — the check runs again immediately before each send, so a message already queued is stopped too.

You do not have to explain why, and you will not be asked to confirm.

How long we keep it

We delete an address and its contact history 12 months after the last message we sent to it, unless you have unsubscribed, in which case the suppression entry stays.

Within that period we keep the record of when an address was contacted so we do not write to it again too soon; 30 days is the minimum gap between messages, not the length of time we hold the data.

Unsubscribe records are kept indefinitely, and this is deliberate: deleting the record of your unsubscribe is what would allow you to be contacted again. The suppression list holds the address and nothing else.

Your rights

You can object to this use of your data at any time, and we will stop. Where we contact you for marketing on the basis of legitimate interest, an objection is absolute — we do not weigh it, we act on it. The unsubscribe link is the fastest way to exercise it, and writing to us works just as well.

You can also ask us what we hold about you, have it corrected, have it deleted, ask us to restrict how we use it while a question is resolved, or ask for a copy in a portable form. Write to [email protected] and we will act on it within one month.

If you ask for deletion, we will remove the contact history. Tell us whether you also want the suppression entry removed — we will do it if you ask, but it means we may contact you again in future, so we do not assume it.

If you are in the UK or EU and are not satisfied with how we have handled a request, you may complain to your national data protection authority. You do not have to raise it with us first, though we would rather you did.
