1. Who we are
WPCWP provides a WordPress plugin that generates article content. In this policy, "we" means WPCWP and "you" means the person or organisation holding a licence. For data protection purposes we are the controller of your account data, and a processor of the content you send through the plugin.
2. What we collect
Account information
Your name, email address, billing address and the domains you activate. We need these to issue a licence, bill you, and tell which sites are entitled to use the product.
Payment information
Card details are entered directly with our payment processor and never reach our servers. We store only the last four digits, the card brand and the expiry date, so you can recognise the card on an invoice.
Technical information
WordPress version, PHP version, active SEO plugin and plugin version, reported by the plugin when it checks its licence. We use this to decide which environments to support and to reproduce bugs.
3. Your article content
Prompts you write and articles generated in response pass through our infrastructure in order to be produced. They are held only for as long as the request takes, and are not used to train models. We do not read your drafts, and we do not sell, share or publish them.
Once content is inserted into a post it lives in your own WordPress database, on your own hosting, entirely under your control. We have no mechanism to retrieve it afterwards.
4. Why we process it
- To provide the service — generating content is the thing you are paying for, so processing your prompt is necessary to perform the contract.
- To bill you — a legal and contractual necessity.
- To support you — answering your questions, on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a working support desk.
- To meet legal obligations — tax and accounting records we are required to keep.
5. Who we share it with
Only the processors we need to run the service: our payment processor, our email delivery provider, our hosting provider, and the AI model providers that generate the text. Each is bound by contract to process data only on our instructions.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
6. How long we keep it
- Account records — for as long as your licence is active, then 12 months.
- Invoices — seven years, as tax law requires.
- Support correspondence — 24 months from the last message.
- Prompts and generated text — not retained after the request completes.
7. Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to processing based on legitimate interests, or ask for your data in a portable format. Write to the address in section 10 and we will respond within 30 days.
If you are in the UK or EU and you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to your national data protection authority.
8. Cookies
Our website uses a session cookie to remember that you dismissed the announcement bar, and nothing else. There are no advertising cookies, no third-party trackers and no analytics that identify individuals.
The plugin itself sets no cookies on your visitors, because it does not load on the front end of your site.
9. Changes
If we change this policy in a way that affects you, we will email licence holders at least 14 days before it takes effect. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
10. Contact
Privacy questions and data requests go to [email protected]. Put "data request" in the subject line and it will be routed correctly.
